Mark Zuckerberg addressed the United Nations on the need for global connectivity. No one seems to question how a kid still wet behind his ears has become the alleged global brain on global brain.
He isn’t.
Mark Zuckerberg is as was Brin and Page, the frontmen for the behind the scenes coordination of KPCB and the United Nations.
Reuters reported that growth in the number of people with access to the Internet is slowing. The United Nations Broadband Commission said more than half the world's population is still offline. While growth rates had been in double digits for years, about three years ago, in 2012, the access growth rate started to slow. The access growth rate is expected to continue to slow.
The ITU, set up in 1858, is the telecommunications are of the United Nations that Facebook kid billionaire CEO addressed. The ITU and UNESCO, who set up the United Nations Broadband Commission said their ambition milestone of four billion Internet users is unlikely to be passed before 2020. The report said “"Over half the world’s population – some 57 percent, or more than 4 billion people - still do not use the Internet regularly or actively.”
The target, Mark Zuckerberg pitched to the U.N., is a U.N. target that KPCB’s venture investments are facilitating happen. The projected year end 3.2 billion people with some form of regular access to the Internet may be up from 2014 but still is 43.4 percent of the world’s population, short of the U.N. target of 60 percent by 2020.
This proposal the Parliamentarians are pushing to extend last-mile infrastructure to rural and remote customers, and a sharp slowdown in the growth of mobile cellular subscriptions globally is a U.N. goal. Either you Parliamentarians work for the U.N. or you work for your citizens who voted you in.
The United Nations has been in a century plus effort to tie the world up with one bow, one thread, one rule. The One Rule? There are possible answers I shudder at even thinking. The one bow/one thread began as telecommunications then moved in to the internet. With all the green eyed greedy people jumping on board, it is the rare legislator, California’s Loretta Sanchez that actually had the temerity to admit, publicly that she has no clue what to do with what is going on or how it got there.
As I said to Congresswoman Sanchez, in a kind way, you and other Parliamentarians are part of the problem. You passed laws believing you were doing good. If someone had told Congresswoman Sanchez and all the legislators who presided over the ICANN 7/1999 House Hearing the end game would put us where we are today, you they have taken the same votes they did back then, that British parliamentarians did back then along with every other global government that Google politicked even before Google was officially google, seeing where the world is at now, would that be the same vote cast today?
It is interesting to see the blank stare on some Parliamentarians and legislators faces, their knit eyebrows forecasting their next words, “What is ICANN.”
There is the problem. You Parliamentarians don’t like the fallout of ICANN’s representations as policies but have not taken to understand the cost of ICANN running rogue as a private non-profit set up by former President Clinton before he left office. Nor have you calculated the ramifications of ICANN’s exploding TLD program exacerbating theft with its proliferation of deceptive TLD’s that give a faux sense of legitimacy and steal ID ie. Baroness.lucy.neville.roff There is nothing stopping that from being bought nor sold to others and mistaken by fans of the Lucy.
There is no being impressed a Facebook expat is on board the IP committee. That, is part of the problem. The acceptance without pushback to protect the everyday people legislators are responsible to protect. Few parliamentarians take the time to read the T.O.S. they obligate consituents to when parliamentarians vote in decisions that involve tech. Each tech thingie is a conglomerate of tech thingies that come together for one purpose, an action. Each of those tech thingies comes with a T.O.S., a Terms of Service (a) written so small the average person cannot locate it if they knew the T.O.S. existed, (b) written in a complexity beyond the average person’s “paygrade” as the term goes here in America, (c ) is usually found only if one is searching for it and (d) contains the words ‘subject to change without notice….’
Asking to connect the outriders of cities without properly investigating ICANN and those profiting from it, is like asking a dog to teach US Presidential candidate Ben Carson on how to separate co-joined twins.
The companies in question are EE, Vodafone, O2, or three.
O2 is Telefónica Europe plc, a European broadband and telecommunications company that originated as a collection of worldwide telecommunications companies, known in the later half of the 1990s as BT Wireless, and a global mobile data business known then as Genie Internet, both subsidiaries of British Telecommunications.
The impact of the British Parliament’s decision is not just local. The impact is outside of the UK, too. “Telefónica Europe provided mobile telephony operations in the United Kingdom and Germany, and licensed its brand to former operations in Ireland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. O2 has additionally established a joint venture with Tesco Mobile in the United Kingdom, Ireland and in Slovakia, and the Tchibo Mobilfunk network in Germany. As part of a reorganisation of Telefónica in 2014, Telefónica Europe's holdings and operations became direct subsidiaries of its parent. Telefónica Europe's subsidiaries continue to operate under the O2 brand” according to Wikipedia.
Telefonica is a private company. The British government is expecting U.K. citizens to give up their private lives to become the fuel that feeds the private company Telefonica and its executives posh lifestyles while U.K. citizens struggle. You have got to be kidding!
Telefonica CEO Jose Maria Alvarez-Pallete has got to be asked if they willing to give up private details of his life to the U.K. constituents that are harmed by this Internet sharing economy so the harmed people can sell his life and private details, too. Albeit, O2 reported a 2009 revenue of €13.533 billion.
Vodafone Group plc is the world's 2nd-largest mobile telecommunications company, behind China Mobile with over 434 million subscribers as of 31 March 2014.
Vodafone Global Enterprise provides telecommunications and IT services to corporate clients in over 65 countries. Vodafone has networks in 21 countries, partner networks in over 40 more countries. Vodafone, on the London Stock Exchange, has a market capitalization of approximately £89.1 billion as of 6 July 2012, a secondary listing on NASDAQ.
Vodafone’s Wikipedia page is extensive. The page illustrates how your constituents data is no longer British data but data shared globally in lock step with the U.N. I.T.U. agenda In the United States, Vodafone previously was in a joint venture with Verizon Communications. The
Vodafone branding was not used. Vodafone gave up its stake. No one said anything of what happened to British data. Vodafone is back at continuing global expansion launch MVNO with T-Mobile US.
EE is the most interesting of the three networks engaged at root of this Comment. EE was a 50:50 joint venture between Deutsche Telekom and Orange S.A. Orange S.A. used to be called France Télécom. France Telecom merged its U.K. T-Mobile and Orange businesses to become the largest operator of 4G services in Europe.
As if that isn’t enough, BT Group announced it’s agreement to acquire EE for £12.5 billion, pending “regulatory approval expected by March 2016”?
This scenario is a telephonic orgy with the public details of when, whom and with are kept hidden. If the researched details are correct, then BT owns O2, put a bid in to buy EE except that purchase deal won’t get sealed until 2016 but a Comment solicitation is out now without the details of the telephonic tryst being disclosed?
Look carefully at what is before your parliamentarian eyes- unparalleled poverty in a world where kids like Zuckerberg got billions for ideas that were awesome to engage in but deliberately did not tell users the truth its existence was to data gather using US military technology that would facilitate global spying. Yes, Facebook, Google and the other programs share data, yours. Now you can understand why when searching airline prices on line, a searcher cant seem to get great deals, just the same prices on the varying sites (unless one uses their smarts to understand that not clicking trips the auction mode in to coming back with lower prices while clicking generally brings back a return of higher prices. Yeah, Pavlov).
It is time for legislators to do their diligence after admitting they screwed up. Before passing new laws remember this, your data is captured too. Like Ashley Madison, David Petraeus, Chief Justice Roberts all your deletes that Google deceives people as reading to be “delete forever” are only deleted until there is a usable nugget…..
The consideration should not be adding more wireless, the consideration should be providing a safe zone for people who want to live away from wireless in wi-fi free zones. There are record numbers of stressors and medical complaints that are emerging in a rapidly unusual short time- neck, finger, eyes and other medical complexities including personality distortions that are arising from using technology. Not to forget, exploding unemployment, exploding violence, exploding racism, all due to a click.
Security people I engage with here in DC are sharing, quietly, their moving back to cash, back to flip phones, back to paper and pencil. Most, like I, wish we could pull back our live’s exposure on the net to people we don’t know, moreso, because we do know that Google engineers search results we get. Teasing, but not so, I explain to people I am nose to nose with, google, ICANN, PKCB and their domination via data aggregation, these entities have allowed for us to now know what someone is doing in our name elsewhere in the world. With the theft of my image, my past history, fingerprints, and other data, somewhere in the world, possibly, is another you/ another me having a conversation at this same time. A simplistic vignette but effective.
By extending data theft ability to these outrider zones, the U.K. government is stripping down the last of a glorious culture.
There is also the reality there are people that technology sickens. Yes many of us find the false promises to be sickening in hindsight, but there are real people suffering increasing maladies- headaches, tinnitus, nausea, fatigue, heart palpitations, insomnia, chest pains, disorientation, digestive difficulties, muscle pain attributed to tech. These outrider locations are a respeth away from the continual emerging “smart” things. Electrosensitives need to know they have their escape from electromagnetic frequencies that radiate wirelessly from cell phones, wi-fi networks, radio waves. The modern technology your votes rammed the rest of society into thinking of as indispensable are actually indispensable.
Tech is dispensable. Check out Green Bank, West Virginia, four hours out from DC out in the Alleghenies. Wanna talk with the rest of the world? There is a pay phone on the side of a road in town. Otherwise? Green Bank is an enviable No WI-FI town where people talk, frustration is almost nil and neighbors talk over the fence.
More work is not getting down in a world where business deals are done best nose to nose. The I.O.T. the Internet of Terrorism, the Internet of Time Wasting, is developing a culture of ADD people unable to focus and get a good job done, the first time.
Walk your hall of Parliament as you exit tonight. Look at the hall cleaner, tucked in to a corner looking at their mobile on your time and dime. Yup. Cant say anything can you for fear of a charge of abuse or racism or some other unrelated claim to the reality they lost concept that a job is your time committed to your boss during which your mobile connected to everything disconnects between 9-5.
In noting U.K. parliaments Lords and Ladies disclosures of holdings, I propose this, that each Lord and Lady sign on to a pledge that if this push to Techie up the British Netherlands goes through that each signer will pay out of their own pocket the losses to the constituent incurring the loss.
Voting, nilly willy, for something different when there is personal accountability, like misrepresenting, respondeat superior, failure to investigate, etc. makes for a potentially different outcome, for the trusting constituent.
It’s, politics, is supposed to be about truth, honesty and integrity, not about selling citizens a policy of profits. The downside is the world Parliament and Congress and every other member of the voluntary business league the U.N. signed on to, the fall out is there, in the streets, in your face.
In America, the expression is “Follow the money”. The telephone companies are in bed together. Zuck aka KPCB has a mover in Cameron’s office which ties in the U.N., Google and ICANN. All that is left to do is a simple enough bio search of each of the committee’s profiles will disclose who is profiting from this data push to the U.K.’s last vestige of privacy.
He isn’t.

UK GOVERNMENT MISGUIDED COMMENT REQUEST ON JAILING END USERS 10 YEARS (c) Carrie Devorah :
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The UK Government The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 request for Comments on "The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (as amended)" is misguided.
Chasing dogs and horse tails rarely gets a wronged person to where the problem began if anything, chasing backends often ends up leaving the chaser with poop on their face.
As someone who has been focused on online IP theft since March 2013 when Maria Pallante testified here in Congress, in the Judiciary, what is consistent, it seems, is the source of your consults- the lawyers, the lobbyists, the wonks and self interested parties pushing agendas. The persons the government are not hearing from are the people that are harmed.
It is the problem caused by the ARTS community. Ground zero for that blame are the ARTS colleges, and even younger. Kids learn that if they touch a hot plate they will be burned. There is nothing burning kids, and adults, who steal what belongs to others.
I achieved a resounding success in one day at a DC Judiciary hearing. I achieved 4 shout outs for Artists and Photographers. The witness, a Berkley professor, said she could not find any Artists and photographers to testify about to Congress. More like this Berkley professor had not looked in that the professor's focus was on Free IP on the Internet.
My interest in IP began 40 years ago at art school. I learned how to harness a then unknown market called Licensing as my way to make my living which I did so until 2009. The Internet hit big.
Upon discovering thousands of my images on the Search Engines without my approval, an IP Theft, if it was not Google, Baidu, Yahoo or other, I set about to figure things out.
Way back I was instrumental in building the first discrete site crime analysis lab on a college campus on the Continent.
What I learned shocked me. I learned how few legislators connect to someone or some community not represented in their face by lobbyists. What I learned is that lobbyists and Guilds hire lawyers to speak for them to legislators, people who are so far connected from the real world experience and are part of the problem.
Orphan Works, collective licensing are ideas that lawyers looked at from the POV of the lawyer, forgetting their job was to state NO to ideas that rob clients of income and livelihood.
So I kept digging. I am a docs girl. I got to the bottom which is the tip of the nose of the beasts legislators are chasing. Ever watch a good western where the cowboy jumps off his horse to grab the runaway steer or horse or train by its neck, doing their best to dig their heels in to the dirt to slow the damn thing down?
Well, you have until September 2016 to do just that. I have done the heavy lifting, with my writing, with screengrabs, with tweets, postings et al. You just need to have the gumption, the proverbial balls to do what Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez did on a CSPAN interview. Loretta stated she has been around Congress along time, I seem to recall 20 years. She also said something about how crazy things are with the Internet etc. She also said something about Congress not knowing what they are doing. Her honesty makes me want her as my new BFF. Because I said the obvious, it's a little late now for regrets considering those years she voted on stuff, as you did are all part of the problem.
Let me explain, Vint Cerf said the IANA function is going to Switzerland in September 2016. That you dont know what the IANA function is does not shock me. You should.
IANA is that program in the US Department of Commerce NTIA that has been under contract, get this, to one entity, ICANN for 20 years, renewable. It does not appear that the IANA contract went out to competitive bid during this time. Bro's and buddies who worked together on IANA before President Bill Clinton took TOR, the Anonymity tool and IANA out of military oversight, well they and the President factored a private non-profit Newco that was renamed ICANN that was born, corporately speaking, a month before Google.
Standford? Just one of those colleges that the US government had working on the ARPA/Darpa programs. Somewhere in all of this, in the background has been the UNDATA and the UNDP.
The country codes are all managed out of Los Angeles, so far, by ICANN. If Vint gets his way then the US will have given the control of all those Internet TLD's, top level domains, over to the United Nations. It seems may be a done deal after all Vint said that Al Gore was put in to the Senate to get the Internet moving.... yup, on record. The downside of that?
Best to direct you to my website to read articles I have written, some accompanied with screengrabs. Or better yet, we aught to talk in person showing you the failure of the Internet oversight by the Registries, and Cops, even Lepard's office.
Look, I pulled docs. What was initially a few pages of complaints, most typically unresolved, has risen to almost 50 pages a month of complaints with one registry- mostly unresolved.
Then you have WIPO in Switzerland, the Dispute Resolution Forum run by the United Nations. Ever take a look at some of the email complainants and the WIPO decisions? You should. George Soros could afford the law team costs needed to challenge a Fund domain name using George's name. Hillary could afford the law team costs, too. Trump, Nicole XXXX (dont want to get sued). The pages of lists go on but should not.
This is where you come in. (1) You can continue to spend time figuring out more ways to spend taxpayer monies to build out more rules and laws that are going to work as well as all the laws you have done to date or (2) you can cut the cancer out at its root.
I read the original papers. I read the contracts. I read the agreements. You can continue to put end infringers in jail or you can go after the 'dealers', ICANN and the Registries who are not supposed to allow Trademarks to be used by non-owners, who were not supposed to allow .org to be 'rented' to entities that are not Government approved charities (no matter what country),
who were not supposed to allow .edu to be 'rented' to entities that are not approved networks (no matter what country), who were not supposed to allow .net to be 'rented' to entities that are not approved networks (no matter what country) but did anyhow. Oh yeah, let's not forget about the speculators who bought up the country codes that the rules said were reserved for countries....
As if it wasnt bad it is going to get alot worse. ICANN's rollout of thousands of TLD's in the past few years, is foreboding more chaos. There are .orgs online scamming unsuspecting people because the website looks great even though the entity is not a real charity. The International Securities Commission has put out its alert on TLD flooding out there ie .forex, .payday etc deceiving people into believing the site is a legit site. Even SWIFT has a role in the dark net of money and movement.
ICANN is growing their 'non profit' from $70 Mill to almost $1/2 Bill with a prediction of heading in to the $$$ Trill-ions, and your government was complicit sending off staffers to each meeting around the world without vetting them first for having spines rather than planned meetups for drink and dinner vacay's on your taxpayer dimes.
The question is how many of your Parliament are willing to put on your 'manpants' because if you dont think the flash crash's, et al are tests for the worst that is yet to come then you are fooling all of us who trust you.
Do it for George, if you wont do it for the ARTS community. Do it for the toddler stalked by photographers. You see it isnt one problem you are adressing it is a slew of interconnected issues. A State 'high up dude' saw things my way on the release of people's private data on to the Internet when I said to him that I read the definition of human trafficking and selling/sharing of people's ID and images on line meets the definition of human trafficking. Soon after a top honcho at the EU went with my lead. Now it is your turn.
You opened the Pandora's box of this thing called the Internet. Maybe we will lose by gripping it around its neck and digging our heels in to the dirt. We may have to go back to the old way of doing things now that we are all aware we, us, our lives and what we do were the end game target. For what?
Well, I am brash and outspoken. Take a lunchtime walk across the square to Methodist Central Hall. When you walk in the entry, turn to your right, as I recall, and enter that little room where history sits, ignored.
Look inside the show cases. Remember? The United Nations signed its agreement/charter both sides of the pond. Ask yourself all these years later, what is this thing called the United Nations that is a megalith in all of our lives, sucking financial life out of our countries, not paying taxes. The United Nations isnt a country although it claims tax exempt status... I explain it in two words....
Business League. The United Nations is a business league with its eye on its evolution from the ITU to present date... gathering data, including IP knowing people share. So I send to you, and you send to him and he sends to her.... she sends a love note to someone elses spouse.... he sends a video of a Jordanian bomber being burned alive.... the porn site snags that tragedy... and, courtesy of Bill, makes it look like it emanates from the Toronto Yacht club. Yup, screengrabbed it....
Go on...... I dare your Parliament.... go after the Kingpin not just the little guy. Use your resources better by being proactive not reactive... As a farm girl I will tell you, from personal experience.... better to be leading the horse than downwind when those horse apples come tumbling. It ain't perfume you will be sniffing....
For what?
