EDITORS NOTE (www.centerforcopyrightintegrity.com - search FINRA, search MADOFF):
The SUPREMES got it wrong.
Boy, do I miss Justice Scalia. He once wrote his number on a Starbucks sleeve in order to be a lifeline call to a law student seeking encouragement. Boy, do I miss Justice Scalia. He would have got this right.
Taking on the case of BEBO v SEC was the SUPREMEs chance to get 'it', Wall Street v Main Street right. That said, with the PR campaign of web weaving from Wall Street for decades along with all the glorious councilors who fail the code of ethics they are sworn to, no wonder.
The SCOTI's, as I call them, are lawyers, too. That said, ALL lawyers, judges or not, are bound to the ethics they are sworn to, that said, the only thing between the 'we the people' and accountability for bad lawyers is, geez, lawyers themselves, bar associations that are business leagues, that too often never read past their 'sign on the dotted line' for monthly or annual dues.
And they should, read, because as judges tell people and lawyers tell clients, 'I did not know' is not an acceptable answer, you should have.
I will be writing more on the role of lawyers, judges and even SCOTUS nominee Justice Garland. Like I tell people, never write anything unless you have docs in hand.
I do.
The SUPREMES erred.
But now that the BEBOs & others understand they would "Go To Jail" my sense is there will be less claims of "unconstitutionality." Until then investors are still sold up the river..... and the SUPREMES, lawyers, too, are accountable to the lawyers Code of Ethic & rules.
The SCOTUS rejecting BEBO v SEC was a chance to put criminals in jail for committing crimes. Until then, Wall Street will continue to plea 'without admitting or denying' while Main Street option is "guilty" or "not guilty."
So there you go, Brad Pitt, there are answers to your perported plea to stop "the biggest loser" from happening again. Your mistake was choosing industry as your experts rather than those, the whistleblowers like www.thewallstreetwhistleblowers.com who have docs in hand
